Blackout Screen

Ambient light is the enemy of a projected image. Blackout curtains and side panels kill the light coming in around your enclosure, and the difference on screen is immediate — deeper blacks, better contrast, and colours that look like the course instead of a washed-out version of it.

It's the cheapest upgrade with a visible result. If your bay is in a garage with windows or a basement with a walkout, this does more for picture quality than another thousand dollars of projector.

Before you order

Worth checking before you buy

Most of the expensive mistakes in a simulator build happen at the ordering stage, not the building stage.

  • Measure your ceiling firstTen feet is comfortable with a driver. Nine works for most people. Eight is tight but doable with the right layout. Measure before you spend a dollar — it decides everything else.
  • Width and depth matter tooYou need room to swing without clipping a wall, plus space behind the ball for a launch monitor to read it properly.
  • Check what talks to whatNot every launch monitor runs every software package, and not every projector suits every throw distance. Ask me before you mix brands.
  • The big stuff ships freightEnclosures, screens and full packages come by freight from the manufacturer, not in a box on a van. Plan for it if you have a date in mind.
  • Buy it here, build it yourselfThis is the same gear I install. If you'd rather put it together, order it and call me only if you get stuck.
  • Or have me build itInside about 90 minutes of Clarksville I'll come measure the room for free and quote the install.

Straight answers

Questions people ask before ordering

Yes. Everything here ships straight to you. I'm a dealer for The Net Return, Carl's Place and GolfBays, and I'll answer setup questions whether or not you hire me to build it.

If you're within about 90 minutes of Clarksville, yes. The space assessment is free — I measure the room and tell you honestly what fits before anything gets ordered.

Measure ceiling height, width and depth, then call or text me the three numbers. That's usually all I need to point you at the right size.

Bring it. I'll build around a launch monitor or screen you already have, and it comes off the quote.

Small accessories move quickly. Enclosures, screens and packages ship freight from the manufacturer and take longer — ask me for a current lead time on anything specific.

Inspect freight before you sign for it and note any damage on the delivery paperwork. That one step is what makes a claim easy instead of a fight. Call me and I'll help you work it.
