Every line here is something that goes wrong when nobody handles it. That's exactly why I list them.

Where custom golf simulator rooms go
Every room has a different problem. Here's what I look for.

Garages
Around here the garage is where most of these end up. Ceiling height is the usual question — plenty of garages are eight feet, and that's tight for a driver. I measure your actual swing instead of trusting a chart. Insulation and a mini split turn it into a room you'll use in July and January, not just October.
Best room in the house2
Basements
If the height is there, this is the best room for it. Cool year round, already dark, and the noise stays downstairs. The catch is usually a support post or a duct run sitting exactly where the bay wants to go. Moving that is framing work — which is the part I already do.

Bonus rooms
Over-garage bonus rooms are everywhere in Middle Tennessee subdivisions, and they're often the quickest win — the space is already finished and conditioned. Usually it's a mount-and-trim job plus an outlet, not a rebuild.

Outbuildings and sheds
If the house doesn't have the room, we build the room. A purpose-built backyard building gets you ceiling height you simply can't get indoors, and nobody's swing wakes up the house.

Straight answers
Questions I get asked a lot
Ten feet is comfortable for most people. Nine works for a lot of golfers. At eight feet, some players can swing a driver and some can't — it depends on your height and your swing, not just the room. That's the whole reason I measure in person instead of guessing over the phone.
No. Bring your own launch monitor and screen and I'll install them. I carry Carl's Place, The Net Return and GolfBays if you'd rather buy it all in one place. For my first few install customers I'm selling the gear at my cost and only making money on the labor.
A net-and-mat setup is usually a day. A full enclosure in an existing room runs a few days. A finished room built from studs is a couple of weeks depending on how much finish work is in it. You'll get a real window in the quote, not a guess.
About 90 minutes from Clarksville comfortably, two hours as a stretch. Clarksville, Springfield, Hendersonville and everything in between. Outside that, call me anyway and I'll be straight with you.
Yes, and that's often the cheapest path. Bonus rooms and finished basements usually need mounting, an outlet and some trim work rather than a rebuild.
