Hitting mats and turf that are easier on your joints and hold up to real swings. The mat is the part of a simulator you feel every single shot.

Before you order
Every swing
The mat is the part of a simulator you touch on every swing. A cheap, hard mat is rough on your wrists and elbows, and it lets you get away with fat shots a real lie wouldn't. It's one of the last places I'd cut corners.
Radar monitors
Radar launch monitors sit several feet behind the ball, so the hitting area needs room for them. A mat extension strip fills that gap without buying a bigger mat.
Finish the bay
Turf around the mat finishes the bay and gives you somewhere to stand, chip and putt. I carry turf and landing pads, and around Clarksville I install putting greens and turf too.
Buying guide
In my opinion, the hitting mat is one of the most important parts of your golf simulator setup. This is one area where spending a little extra can make a real difference.
Think about it: when practicing on a simulator, you might take 100 swings in a single session. If your mat doesn't provide adequate cushioning and support, the repeated impact can put extra stress on your elbows, wrists, and shoulders.
A quality mat can provide a more comfortable hitting surface, better durability, and a more enjoyable practice experience. Some mats are also designed to simulate real turf more closely, giving you a more realistic feel when striking the ball.
Since you'll be standing and swinging on it for hours, I believe a good hitting mat is well worth the investment. After all, there's no point in building a great simulator if the surface you're hitting from lets you down.
Still not sure which one fits your room? Send me your ceiling height, width and depth.
Straight answers
Most of the mats here are 4'11" square, which fits most bays. If you use a radar launch monitor behind the ball, add an extension strip.
It depends on the mat. Some take insert tees or rubber tee holders instead of wooden tees. Check the product page, or look at the insert tee mat.
