The picture
Your impact screen is the surface the projector shines on and the thing you hit every shot. Different fabrics trade picture sharpness, noise and durability against each other, so the right one depends on your room and how much you play.
Try it first
Not sure which material you want? Start with the Carl's impact screen sample pack for $5 and look at the fabrics in your own room before you buy a full screen.
Hang it right
A screen is only as good as how it's hung. Ball bungees and zip ties keep it flat and let it absorb the ball, and a foam backing layer adds protection behind it. I carry the spares too.
Buying guide
Your impact screen is where every shot lands, so choosing the right one matters more than you might think. The right screen can affect image quality, noise levels, durability, and the overall experience of your golf simulator.
There are several options available, but three common choices are standard screens, three-ply screens, and gray screens. Each offers different benefits depending on your budget and what matters most to you.
Standard Impact Screens
If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, a standard impact screen can be a great place to start. A quality screen can provide a solid experience without stretching your budget, making it a popular choice for first-time simulator owners. However, noise levels, image quality, and durability vary depending on the material and construction.
Three-Ply Impact Screens
Three-ply screens are my personal favorite. If you've spent time using a golf simulator, you know how loud repeated ball strikes can get. A well-designed three-ply screen can help absorb some of that impact noise while providing a durable surface for regular practice. If your budget allows, this is an option worth considering, especially if your simulator is located in a garage, basement, or shared living space.
Gray Impact Screens
If image quality is your priority, a gray screen may be worth looking into. Gray surfaces can improve perceived contrast and black levels, helping projected images look more defined in certain lighting conditions. However, gray screens can also appear darker than white screens, so projector brightness and room lighting are important factors to consider.
Ultimately, the best impact screen depends on your budget, room conditions, projector, and how often you plan to practice. Consider these factors before making your decision, and you'll be better equipped to choose a screen that delivers the experience you're looking for.

Straight answers
Screens are sized to specific enclosures and frames. Check the size on the product page, or text me your enclosure model and I'll confirm before you order.
It depends on your projector, your room and how hard you swing. If you're torn, the $5 sample pack lets you see the fabrics in person first.
Some screens are final sale because the fabric marks once it's been hit. Check the refund policy before you order, or ask me.
Most screens attach to the frame with ball bungees or zip ties. If you need more, they're in sim room accessories.
Next step
Tell me your enclosure and projector, and I'll tell you which screen works with them.
